Zach Horton

Zach worked for the Landscape and Garden Center part time through high school. After graduating he started his own company specializing in hardscapes and equipment work. In 2008, Don and Zach merged companies. With 20 years of knowledge he is paving the way for an aggressively exciting future for Baxter Gardens West.
Karen Hirschboeck
Landscape Designer
Karen has been a team member for since 1998. She brings more than 36 years of experience with several award winning gardens and landscapes. Karen has made many great friends throughout her career and enjoys spending time in nature.
Tim Ward
Retail Manager
Tim has been a team member for since 2012. He brings with him a plethora of knowledge in the retail market as well as landscaping where he started out more than 20 years ago. He has a vast knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials and landscape design. Tim is a North O’Fallon local and enjoys free time spent within the local community as well as fishing on the river.
Theresa Turnbull

Theresa joined Baxter Gardens West in the Fall of 2020 after completing a 40-year career in the nursing and health care industry. She brings a wealth of managerial skills as well as a profound understanding of customer relations. She is an avid gardener and enjoys free time with family and friends, the outdoors, as well the read of a great book.
Marianne Mollison
Executive Secretary
Office Specialist
Marianne has been the financial and HR manager since the foundation in 1987. She is intensely involved in the ongoing operation of the landscape department as well as the garden center. Marianne enjoys fishing with her husband and spending time with her family.
Cheryl Besancenez
Office Specialist
Cheryl is a friend and neighbor to the founders, she always has been a fan of Baxter Gardens West and happily joined the team in 1999. She plays a pivotal role in managing account payables, receivables and inventory management. Outside of work Cheryl enjoys the outdoors, fishing, spending time with her family and traveling.
